Unplug the base station. Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the device using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Remove one battery for at least 10–15 seconds before putting it back in. One thing that you could try is to take out the batteries one more time, and then leave them out for 5 minutes (to let the power clear out totally). When initiating an update to the firmware from the SimpliSafe® App, it will only update the Base Station firmware and not the Keypad.
